The photos were received in 1999 from a reliable source. The color photos were taken at a computer auction in San Francisco in June 1999. You can read more about this very Apple-1 unit via this link.

Photo copy of the original Apple-1 Operation Manual. Originally owned by Charles and Edythe Ricketts. Photos of the Apple-1 in a home-made case. Only the logic board itself was available for purchase from Apple Computer. This particular computer was owned by Charles and Edythe Ricketts.
 
Photo copies of the two checks used to purchase the Apple-1, pictured above, from Apple Computer. Check #233 was used to purchase the logic board on July 27, 1976. Check #249 was used to purchase additional software, programmed by Steve Jobs, on August 5, 1976.
